Part 1
The road takes Jack Vinyl north.
This time, it takes him to Chicago—a city of cold streets, neon nights, smoky clubs, and secrets that don’t stay buried for long.
A club owner has disappeared. A guitar turns up with someone else’s blood on the strings. And somewhere in the shadows, a dangerous game is being played over a stolen contract and a deal that was never meant to see the light of day.
Jack doesn’t know who he can trust. He only knows that somebody wants him out of the picture.
Midnight in Chicago is the second chapter in the Ballad of Jack Vinyl—a noir-inspired rock ‘n’ roll mystery told through music, cinematic imagery, and the shadowy world of a man who seems to find trouble wherever the road takes him.
Turn down the lights. Turn up the music.
Jack Vinyl is back.

Ballad Of Jack Vinyl is the theme song of Jack Vinyl—a hard-luck rock-and-roll detective who lives somewhere between a smoky blues club and a dark city street after midnight.
Driven by gritty guitars, a blues-soaked groove, and the unmistakable sound of Red Moon Travelers, the song sets the mood for a world of crooked deals, disappearing musicians, cold streets, and secrets that refuse to stay buried. It’s part rock ’n’ roll, part blues, and part vintage detective noir, with Jack Vinyl walking straight into trouble because trouble always seems to know where to find him.
This isn’t the soundtrack to a perfect hero. It’s the soundtrack to a guy with a guitar, a past, and just enough attitude to keep digging when everyone else walks away.
Turn it up. The case is open.
